Peter Kihara Kariuki IMC (born February 6, 1954 in Thunguri ) is Bishop of Marsabit .

Life

Peter Kihara Kariuki joined the religious order of Consolata Missionaries and was ordained a priest on December 16, 1983 . Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Muranga on June 3, 1999 .

The Apostolic Nuncio in Kenya , Giovanni Tonucci , donated him episcopal ordination on September 11 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Nicodemus Kirima , Archbishop of Nyeri and John Njue , Bishop of Embu .

He was appointed Bishop of Marsabit on November 25, 2006, and was instituted on January 25 of the next year.
