The diocese Embu ( Latin : Dioecesis Embuensis ) is a bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church located in Kenya . The seat of the diocese is Embu . It includes the Embu County .
history
Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Quoniam Nostrum on June 9, 1986 from cession of territory by the Diocese of Meru and it was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Nairobi as a suffragan diocese.
On May 21, 1990, it became part of the ecclesiastical province of the Archdiocese of Nyeri .
