Peter Kiwitt

Peter Kiwitt , actually Alfred Georg Kiwit (born December 4, 1904 in Oberhausen , † March 10, 1969 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

Peter Kiwitt received his artistic training in Düsseldorf , where he also made his first appearances in 1924. In the 1930s he worked at theaters in Berlin , where he was also engaged for several films. After the Second World War , he moved his sphere of activity back to Düsseldorf. From 1955 to 1962 he was a member of the Berliner Ensemble and then moved to the Volksbühne Berlin , of which he was a member until his death in 1969. He achieved a large part of his fame through his participation in numerous DEFA films.
