Peter Liggesmeyer

Peter Liggesmeyer (* 1963 in Paderborn ) is a German computer scientist . Since 2015 he has been the managing director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE) in Kaiserslautern and since 2004 has held the chair “Software Engineering: Dependability” at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern . From 2014 to 2017 he headed the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI eV) as its president. He is the founder of the Fraunhofer Embedded Systems Alliance, of which he was spokesman from 2010 to 2013. From 2004 to 2014 Liggesmeyer was the scientific director of Fraunhofer IESE. He is the author of numerous specialist articles and widespread specialist books, in particular the standard work "Software Quality" (2002, 2nd edition. 2009).

Peter Liggesmeyer is an expert in the field of software testing and software verification.
