Peter Schwarzenbauer

Peter Schwarzenbauer (born October 19, 1959 in Weißenburg in Bavaria ) is a German manager and was a member of the Board of Management of BMW AG . There he was responsible for the MINI, BMW Motorrad, Rolls-Royce and Aftersales BMW Group divisions until October 2019.

Career

Schwarzenbauer spent his school days in Munich and Brazil , which he graduated from high school in Nova Friburgo . From 1980 to 1984 he studied business administration with a focus on marketing at the Munich University of Applied Sciences and successfully completed his studies with the academic degree of Diplom-Betriebswirt (FH) . After completing his studies, he started working in central marketing at BMW AG as a supervisor for overseas markets. In 1988 he was appointed Head of Product Events in Marketing and Sales. From 1990 to 1992 he worked as Business Development Manager in the motorcycle division of BMW of North America. Two years later he took over the sales management for Europe at BMW Motorrad in Munich.

In 1994 Schwarzenbauer made the move to Porsche AG , where he became sales manager for Germany. From 1997 to 2003 he was Managing Director at Porsche Iberica SA From 2003 to 2008 he was President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America Inc.

On April 1, 2008, Schwarzenbauer was appointed to the Board of Management of Audi AG for Marketing and Sales. In April 2013 he finally returned to the starting point of his professional career as a BMW board member and was responsible for the brands MINI , BMW-Motorrad , Rolls-Royce and the aftersales division of the BMW Group . In October 2019, he left the Board of Management of BMW AG.

Schwarzenbauer has been a member of the supervisory board of Scout24 AG since 2017 .
