Peter Struger (born March 19, 1982 in Egg ) is a former Austrian ski racer . He celebrated his greatest successes in the Super-G discipline .

Career

Struger graduated from the Stams ski school , started for SC Arnoldstein and was accepted into the ÖSV team in 1999 . He contested his first FIS race in November 1997. At Junior World Championships, he won the silver medal in the Super-G in both 2001 and 2002 . In the European Cup Struger was the first time in March 2000 at the start and was able to record two wins. The 2006/07 season was the most successful: He was able to win the overall EC standings, finished third in the Super G discipline and fourth in the giant slalom discipline. The following year , he finished sixth overall and secured himself third place in the downhill discipline ranking.

In the World Cup Struger was the first time in December 2004 at the start, the next time again until two years later. The great successes were denied to him, his best result is a 28th place in the Super-G of Beaver Creek on December 3, 2007. After the 2008/09 season he lost the ÖSV squad and in the summer of 2009 he ended his career.
