Peter Vougt (born January 12, 1974 ) is a former Swedish football player . The striker played in Sweden and Germany in his playing career.

Career

Vougt comes from the youth of IK Brage . For the club he made his debut in 1990 in the Allsvenskan and replaced with his goal in the game against Halmstads BK Peter Dahlqvist , who had held the record since 1972, as the youngest scorer in the championship. That record lasted until 2013 when Filip Sachpekidis undercut it. Despite two goals this season, he had to relegate the club to the second division at the end of the 1990 season . There he was one of the guarantors of promotion in the 1992 season with twelve goals this season, but again the team missed relegation. After a season in the second division, in which IK Brage had missed promotion, he moved to the Allsvenskan.

Halmstads BK became a new club from the 1995 season . With a 3-1 win over AIK , he won the Swedish National Cup in the summer of that year and scored the 2-1 lead. Later in the season, however, he lost his initial regular place when coach Mats Jingblad mainly relied on Niklas Gudmundsson as the second offensive tip next to Robert Andersson from autumn . Even after a coach change to Tom Prahl before the start of the 1997 season , he was primarily second choice, only after Andersson's move to IFK Gothenburg he was again a regular and won the Von Rosens Cup with the club for the Swedish championship at the end of the season .

In early 1999 Vougt left his teammate Niclas Nylén following Sweden and joined the German club VfB Leipzig in the Regionalliga . However, his one and a half year stay was hapless and partly overshadowed by injuries, so that he only played twelve league games. In the summer of 2000 he returned to his home country and from then on played for the Gothenburg club BK Häcken in the Allsvenskan. At the end of the 2001 season he was relegated with the club from the first division, but remained loyal to him in the Superettan . After he mainly only succeeded as a substitute and on the club's defense in the second division season in 2004 , he moved to Falkenbergs FF despite alleged international offers within the league . He ended his active career there in 2007 after his three-year contract had expired.
