Peter Widmann

Peter Widmann (born September 20, 1930 in Munich ; † April 17, 2012 in Wildsteig ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Life

Peter Widmann attended secondary school, did a three-year agricultural internship at the agricultural college in Landsberg / Lech and then worked for the Bavarian state estate. He studied at the State Institute for Agricultural Education in Munich and passed his second teaching examination in 1958. He was an agriculture teacher in the district of Schongau and head of the agricultural vocational school Schongau , active in youth and adult education and as senior studies director as well as chairman of the district youth council.

In 1960 Widmann was elected to the district council. In 1966 he became chairman of the CSU district parliamentary group and district committee member, and from 1972 to 1975 he was deputy district administrator. From 1970 to 1990 Widmann was directly elected in the Weilheim and Weilheim-Schongau constituency and was thus a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

For his services, Widmann was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class , the Bavarian Order of Merit and the Communal Merit Medal.
