from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peter Wulf († after 1527 ) was a German red and bell caster .

Life

Wulf's life is only incompletely documented. In 1492 he acquired the house at Fischergrube 23 in Lübeck , which he demonstrably owned until 1527. He cast several bells in Lübeck and the surrounding area. Theodor Hach described him as “a Lübeck guild master at least on the borderline to being an artist”, and Johannes Kretzschmar counted Wulf “one of the most outstanding masters of Lübeck ore caster”.
