Peter Zimmermann (director)

Peter Zimmermann (born February 25, 1955 in Völklingen ) is a German television and film director . He is married, has three children and lives in Geretsried . He turned u. a. a total of 175 episodes of the ARD series Marienhof , 80 episodes of the youth series fabrixx and 40 episodes of the telenovela Verliebt in Berlin .

education

Peter Zimmermann completed an apprenticeship as a sound and image engineer at the FH Düsseldorf and the Musikhochschule Rheinland (trumpet and piano), which he graduated with a diploma. A scriptwriting seminar with Ulrich Weiß in 1995 completed his training.

activities

Until 1983 he worked as a sound and image engineer and as a freelance sound engineer for music productions. During this time he was responsible for setting up and running his video studio.

From 1983 to 1989, Peter Zimmermann was permanently employed at Bavaria Film GmbH as editor and production engineer for advertising, industrial films and TV productions.
