Petr Pulcer (born January 12, 1985 in Karviná , Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech natural track luge . At first he only drove in a single-seater and in the last two years of his career started in a two-seater together with Tomáš Papiorek . From 2000 to 2004 he took part in world cup races as well as in world and European championships .

Career

Petr Pulcer made his first international appearance at the 2000 World Championships in Olang , where he came in 45th out of 60 tobogganers. A week later he took part in the 2000 European Junior Championships in Umhausen , where he was 33rd out of 36 rated tobogganers. At the end of winter he made his debut in the World Cup in Fénis , in which he was only 27th and last. In the 2000/01 season , Pulcer only started in the last World Cup race. This time he finished second to last as 25th. In the 2001/02 season he took part in the last two of the six World Cup races, in which he left up to five tobogganers behind with places 32 and 33. At the 2001 World Championships in Stein an der Enns , Pulcer achieved 27th place out of 29 rated tobogganists and also 27th place among 32 tobogganists at the European Junior Championships in Tiers . The next year he achieved 35th place out of 42 rated tobogganists at the 2002 European Championships in Frantschach-Sankt Gertraud and 30th place among 35 starters at the Junior World Championships in Gsies .

In the 2002/03 and 2003/04 seasons Pulcer took part in three of the six World Cup races in single-seater and started together with Tomáš Papiorek in a total of four World Cup races in double-seater. In the single-seater, he still only achieved placements in the bottom field, but in the 2002/03 season he at least reached 34th place in the overall World Cup among a total of 55 tobogganists who won World Cup points this winter. He couldn't get any better results in the doubles either. With a ninth, two tenth and an eleventh place, the duo Pulcer / Papiorek was always among the last three. At the 2003 World Championships in Železniki , Papiorek came 40th out of 48 tobogganists who were rated; at the European Championship 2004 he did not take part - just like Tomáš Papiorek. After the 2003/04 season, both Petr Pulcer and Tomáš Papiorek ended their careers.
