Lars Petrus Ragnar Kastenman (born August 15, 1924 in Bälinge , Södermanland , † June 10, 2013 in Stenstorp ) was a Swedish eventing rider .

Petrus Kastenman was with the Swedish cavalry, first in Stockholm, later in Skövde . In 1956 he was a sergeant; when he left the armed forces he had the rank of captain.

The 1956 Olympic Games were held in Melbourne. Because of the Australian quarantine regulations, there were problems with the entry of horses for the equestrian competitions, so in 1954 the Olympic Equestrian Games were awarded to Stockholm, where they were held from June 10, 1956 to June 17, 1956. The Swedish riders won three gold medals in front of their own audience. In addition to individual and team gold in dressage, Petrus Kastnman won the eventing test with the eight-year-old gelding Iluster with 18 points ahead of the German August Lütke-Westhues . The Swedish team could not place itself in the team ranking, as with Kastenman and Hans von Blixen-Finecke junior only two riders reached the finish. In 1957, Kastenman won bronze with the Swedish team at the European Championships behind the British and the Germans. Kastenman did not achieve any further success in his sporting career.

After his military service, Kastenman worked as a junior coach in the 1970s and 1980s. He was jointly responsible for setting up a multi-purpose course in Borgunda near Skövde.
