The steam locomotives of the Palatinate class G 2.I were locomotives of the Palatinate Railways .

A total of 41 copies of this locomotive were acquired by the Pfalzbahn for the increasing freight traffic. They were delivered by Maffei between 1871 and 1876 and were stationed in Neustadt , among other places . The vehicles largely corresponded to the Bavarian C III , but received an internal control system with external cylinders , Hall cranks, a smooth standing boiler, a steam dome and numerous safety valves. Seven vehicles were sold to the railways of the Saar region , and four more were given as reparations.

The locomotives had a Schlepptender equipped to type 2 T. 8
