Rectory in Breitenbrunn

The rectory in the municipality of Breitenbrunn is a listed building in the Unterallgäu district in the Bavarian administrative district of Swabia . The building is a new building from 1730 and was built by the Memminger Kreuzherren under P. Bonaventura Schneider (Sartor), who was pastor in Breitenbrunn from 1729 to 1742 . In place of the existing building there was a previous building from the 15th century. The cost of the new building was 2954 fl. 44 kr. A restoration took place in 1969, during which the interior was also renewed.

The rectory is located around 100 m south of St. Martin's Church . The house consists of five to five window axes and is equipped with a gable roof covered. Both the eaves and the gable legs are profiled. Tuscan colossal iron bars are attached to the corners of the narrow and long sides. Further Tuscan colossal iron bars are also present on the sides of the broader central axis of the long side. A basket arch door on the southern long side leads into the interior of the rectory. A renewed flight of stairs leads to this . On the first floor, the corridor ceiling is decorated with three curved stucco frames. An oval stucco ring is in the middle room on the south side, a mirror ceiling with a profile-lined haunch is in the corner room. The attic comes from the time it was built and consists of a collar beam roof with a horizontal roof truss . The center posts have strongly profiled head brackets through concave incisions .

The wooden figure of a crucifix dates from around 1730 . The assistant figures of a crucifixion group of Mary and John the Evangelist were made around 1720. A small altar crucifix comes from the second half of the 18th century. The painting with Jesus on the cross, painted on wood in the first half of the 19th century, was formerly in the sacristy of the church .
