Vicarage, former castle in Ungerhausen

The former Ungerhausen Castle was probably built in the early 16th century by the Memmingen patrician family Vöhlin . It is located in Ungerhausen in the Unterallgäu district in the Bavarian administrative district of Swabia . In 1594 it became the property of the Ottobeuren Benedictine monastery . The building was renovated in 1612 and 1628. In 1670, master bricklayer Michael Thumb prepared an appraisal of further necessary repairs. The castle has been used as a vicarage since 1676 .

The building is a two-story stately construction with a gable roof , the floors of which are divided by cornices. The former castle or the rectory is a listed building. The building is now used as a parish hall. It was renovated in 2016/17 by the parish and the political community as it is now shared.
