The rectory in Könghausen , a district of the Eppishausen community in the Unterallgäu district in Bavaria , was built in 1722. The rectory near Schulstrasse is a protected architectural monument .

description

The two-storey gable roof building was built in 1722 and renewed in 1965. The building consists of five to four axes. Both the sloping gables and the eaves cornice are simply profiled. Formerly the main entrance was on the southern facade in the broader central axis. Inside there is still some stucco from the 18th century. The southeast room on the upper floor has a flat ceiling with a stucco profile over a low valley. In the middle of the flat ceiling there is a circular ring with the inscription IHS, which is surrounded by a tail frame. In the adjoining room to the north with only one window there is a mirrored ceiling with a simple stucco frame. The same can be found in the western room on the upper floor.

Interior

Wooden figures from the 18th century are placed in the rectory. These are a small figure of Our Lady of Altötting , a crucifix on a pedestal with putti and a heart of Jesus, a resurrection savior, a grave Christ and a torso of a large crucifix. In a shrine from the middle of the 18th century there is a baby Jesus from Prague in regalia. The painting with the Holy Family is labeled I. Menrad 1908 . Two pictures of the apostles Peter and Paul come from a cycle of apostles . The cycle dates from the middle of the 18th century.

Marienklause

Marienklause

In the garden, on the western edge of the rectory grounds, there is a Marienklause made of tree trunks and bark. This was built in 1890. Small, arched, slug-glass windows are inserted on both sides. On the roof of the Marienklause is a small bell chair with a pointed helmet.
