Phase One Media Pro (formerly Microsoft Expression Media ) is a commercial cataloging program for image management from Phase One for the Windows and macOS operating systems . Phase One announced the official retirement of Media Pro on August 30, 2018; Instead, users are recommended to use Capture One and provide migration instructions.

history

Media Pro is the successor to Expression Media which Phase One took over from Microsoft in May 2010 . At that time, Expression Media was in Version 2, Service Pack 2. The program was created under the name iView MediaPro , which Microsoft acquired in June 2006. Catalog files created with iView could also be further processed with Expression Media.

After taking over iView, Expression Media was released by Microsoft on April 30, 2007 and designed to work with other products in the Expression family. A trial version for Expression Media has been made available.
