Philipp Müller (born September 19, 1984 in Würzburg ) is a German handball player .

Career

Müller played from 2006 to 2008 for the Bundesliga club TV Großwallstadt , but had a first game right at TUSPO Obernburg in the 2006/07 season . He then ran for the Bundesliga club HBW Balingen-Weilstetten until 2010 . In 2010 he joined the HSG Wetzlar . From there he moved to MT Melsungen in 2013 , with whom he reached the final four of the DHB Cup in 2014 . In the 2019/20 season he was under contract with SC DHfK Leipzig Handball . He scored four goals in 24 games and received five yellow cards and 11 time penalties. He has been a sports coordinator at SC DHfK Leipzig since summer 2020. Müller is still available to the Leipzigers as a standby player.

His twin brother Michael , with whom he played in Großwallstadt until 2008 and in Wetzlar in the 2012/13 season, moved to Melsungen with him. On September 1, 2007, both brothers played together for the first time in a Bundesliga match against THW Kiel .

On September 16, 2014 national coach Dagur Sigurðsson Müller appointed to the extended squad of the German national team . On September 20, 2014, he made his debut in Göppingen in a friendly against Switzerland .
