Philipp Riederle (born October 9, 1994 in Munich ) is a German author and management consultant . With his video podcast "My iPhone and Me ..." he gained national fame.

Life

Riederle was born in 1994 in Munich as the son of the engineer Martin Riederle and attended the Dossenberger Gymnasium in Günzburg . In addition to school, he ran several projects that made him known on the Internet under the pseudonym "Phipz".

In April 2008 he launched the podcast “My iPhone and Me…”, in which he reported on his experiences with the Apple iPhone and presented mobile apps for this device. For the time being, these episodes were recorded with the simplest equipment in the children's room at home. After many Apple fans were aware of the project and the podcast in no time to the list of podcast charts in iTunes got in, he built in the rumpus room of his grandparents a studio with HD -Kameraequipment and green screen technology on.

Sponsored by an Internet mail order company, Riederle founded his second project "My iPad and I ..." in May 2010.

The increasing number of downloads and the feedback from viewers motivated the then 15-year-old to set up his own company, "Phipz Media UG (limited liability) ". The management was taken over by his father, Martin Riederle. An office space is available for him in a workshop building in his place of residence in Burgau . In the meantime, according to the company's own statements, the projects reached around one million downloads a year.

Riederle was invited to speak for the first time on the subject of social media in 2010 - for example at the “Audiovisual Media Days” and at several other industry events. In November he gave a lecture to well-known personalities in Düsseldorf as part of the “The World after Advertising” event entitled “You want to know what we need - the communication behavior of digital natives ”.

In addition to some publications in the local press, Riederle was also a guest in some television programs, for example in September 2012 in the ZDF program Pelzig Keeps up or in the spring of 2013 in the morning magazine of Sat.1 and ZDF .

At the age of 18 he published a book called "Who We Are and What We Want". (4 weeks on the SPIEGEL bestseller list) In April 2017 his second book “How we work, and what we demand” was published.

Since August 2018 Riederle has been a member of the "Digital Economy" advisory board of the Ministry for Economy, Innovation, Digitization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia .
