Pießig ( Lower Sorbian Pěski ) is a district of the town of Sonnewalde in the Elbe-Elster district in Brandenburg .

Geography and transport links

Pießig is located southeast of the core town of Sonnewalde on the K 6230 district road . The B 96 runs to the west and south . South flows Kleine Elster , southeast extends the approximately 47 ha large nature reserve Tannenberger swamp - Gröbitzer Busch .

Attractions

• In the list of architectural monuments in Sonnewalde , the watermill is listed as the only architectural monument for Pießig . It was built between 1820 and 1823 and was used for grinding and sawing purposes .
