Pierre Nguyên Van Kham

Pierre Nguyên Van Kham ( Vietnamese : Phêrô Nguyễn Văn Khảm ; born October 2, 1952 in Hà Đông ) is a Vietnamese clergyman and bishop of Mỹ Tho .

Life

Thomas Nguyên Van Trâm was ordained a priest on August 30, 1980 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on October 15, 2008 auxiliary bishop in Ho Chi Minh City and titular bishop of Trofimiana . He was ordained bishop by the Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh City, Cardinal Jean Baptiste Phạm Minh M Bischn , on November 15 of the same year; Co-consecrators were Joseph Vu Duy Thông , auxiliary bishop in Ho Chi Minh City, and Stephanus Tri Buu Thien , coadjutor bishop of Cần Thơ . As a motto he chose Hãy theo Th :y (German: "Follow me" ).

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Mỹ Tho on July 26, 2014. The inauguration took place on August 30 of the same year. On July 13, 2016, he became a member of the Communication Secretariat (today: Dicastery for Communication ) of the Roman Curia .
