Pierre Vezin

Pierre Vezin (* 9. September 1654 in Saint-Florentin / Champagne ; † 9. September 1727 in Hannover ) was a French violinist and Electoral Hanoverian and Royal British court - chamber music .

Life

At the time of the principality of Calenberg , Pierre Vezin came to the royal seat of Hanover in 1688 , where he was appointed member of the Hanoverian court orchestra under the sovereign Duke Ernst August and soon afterwards he was appointed electoral court and chamber musician. After the birth of his son Jean Baptiste Vezin in 1712 and the rise of Georg Ludwig to King of Great Britain in 1714, Vezin was confirmed in his position, but now as a royal British court and chamber musician. He died on his birthday in 1727; in the same year his son Jean Baptiste took over this position.
