The easiest way to get to the mountain is from Pontresina through Val Roseg . The Chamanna da Tschierva ( 2583 m above sea level ) of the Swiss Alpine Club serves as a base . The simplest, although e.g. The partly glaciated ascent ( WS ) leads from there up to the Vadrettin da Tschierva and over the northern ridge of the Piz Morteratsch to its summit. The ascent from Chamanna da Boval via Fuorcla da Boval ( 3347 m above sea level ) is also popular, but is more demanding in terms of alpinism . The summit is often “taken along” on a hut tour from the Boval hut to the Tschierva hut.
