Played - Scorched (Played) is a British thriller from the year 2006 . Directed by Sean Stanek , who wrote the script with Mick Rossi .

The London policeman Brice and Riley, who works with him, instigate Ray Burns to commit a robbery. Ray Burns puts together a team and takes along with Nathan, Terry Rawlings, son of the crime king Jack Rawlings. During the execution, Nathan falls from a wall and dies. Brice and Riley betray Burns to the police to come up with a scapegoat. Burns is arrested and sentenced to eight years in prison. During this time, Terry dies of a drug overdose.
After being released, Burns discovers that Riley has moved to Los Angeles . He gets the order from a stranger to murder Riley. He travels to Los Angeles, where he meets a former collaborator, Charlie, of the unsuccessful break-in. He kills Riley. After being interrogated by the police, he is shot by Riley's girlfriend. He survives this injury and returns to London. There Brice incites the submissive police informer Danny on him. Ray kills Danny and Brice is shot dead by the stranger. Before that, however, he had given Ray another strong kick in the stomach. It turns out that he was working for Rawlings. Rawlings tells Ray, whom he blames heavily, for looking after everyone responsible for his son's death. He tells Ray that he has to pay too, but lets him go. Ray stumbles through London bleeding and it remains an uncertain ending whether he will survive the wound.

The lexicon of international films wrote that the film , "with an excellent cast right down to the supporting roles, " is a " gangster drama that is as uncompromising as it is well told ."
