Pohořelec (German Pohorzeletz ) is a settlement in the municipality of Zbečno in the Czech Republic . It is located one and a half kilometers west of Zbečno and belongs to the Okres Rakovník .

Pohořelec is located in the highlands Křivoklátská in the conservation area Křivoklátsko . The village lies on the right side of the Berounka opposite the confluences of the Štíhlice and Klíčava on the plateau of a river bend . In 1830 the owner of the Pürglitz estate , Karl Egon II zu Fürstenberg, had a workers' colony built for his Rostok ironworks on the Berounkaschleife plateau , which was named Pohořeletz after its location. In 1843 Pohořeletz was conscripted to Augezd ob Zbečno . The parish and school location was Zbetschno . Until the middle of the 19th century, Pohořeletz remained subordinate to Fideikommiss Pürglitz .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Pohořelec / Pohorzeletz 1850 a settlement of the community Zbečno in District Rakonitz and judicial district Křivoklát . After 1945, the Újezd ​​nad Zbečnem railway station was closed. On January 1, 1980, Újezd ​​nad Zbečnem and Pohořelec were incorporated into Zbečno. Today Pohořelec is a resort. At the top of the Berounka loop, extensive holiday cottage settlements have emerged with a view of the Brdatka cliffs.
