The Pondorfbach is a 2.5 km long, left tributary of the Ascha in the Schwandorf district in Upper Palatinate in Bavaria . A left source stream rises on the southwest slope of the Signalberg , east of Pondorf and flows in a westerly direction. A right, somewhat shorter source stream rises from a repatriate farm in the north of Pondorf. This source stream flows south along the edge of the forest. The two source streams unite about 400 meters east of Pondorf.
The Pondorfbach now flows west along the southern outskirts of Pondorf. It flows through the flat valley that is formed by the 589 meter high Deimbühl in the north and the 598 meter high hill Auf der Höhe in the south. In a wetland west of Pondorf, the Pondorfbach takes on a nameless stream coming from the south.
It flows further west and flows south of Aschamühle into the Ascha. Shortly before its confluence, the Pondorfbach first crosses the Bavarian-Bohemian Friendship Way , which is on the former Nabburg – Schönsee railway line , and then the 2152 state road .
