Tour of Denmark 2005

The Tour of Denmark (Danish: until 2015 Post Danmark Rundt , since 2016 PostNord Danmark Rundt after the main sponsor PostNord ) is a cycling race that is held annually in Denmark . It belongs to the UCI Europe Tour and is classified in category 2. HC.

The race was held for the first time in 1985. After a seven-year break, it has been carried out regularly since 1995. While the tour traditionally always took place in August, it will start in September for the first time in 2017. Record winners are Kim Andersen and Jakob Fuglsang , who won the tour three times; the latter won the tour in 2010 for the third time in a row.

The 30th edition of the race starts on August 11, 2020. On the occasion of the anniversary "100 years of referendum on the German-Danish borderline ", the third stage begins in Flensburg. It is also the first time in the history of the race that part of the course is outside Denmark.
