Primavera Rosa
The Primavera Rosa (it., Eng .: Pink Spring) was a one-day race in women's cycling that was held in the Italian region of Liguria from 1999 to 2005 . It was part of the women's cycling world cup .
The race was created by RCS Sport as a female counterpart to the classic Milan – Sanremo and held over the last 118 km of the men's race from Varazze to Sanremo . It also included the famous climbs of Cipressa and Poggio di Sanremo .
The name Primavera Rosa , like the color of Maglia Rosa, alluded to the color of the sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport , which is part of the RCS group.
After the cancellation of the 2006 event, the race was no longer held.
