The DCV36 project describes a type of coaster operated by the Russian shipping company North-Western Shipping Company .
Ten units of the type of ship designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau were built. After six ships of the type had been ordered in April 2008, four more ships were ordered in February 2009. The ships were at the shipyard Qingdao Hyundai Shipbuilding Co. in Qingdao built. Construction began with the first steel cut on May 20, 2009. The ships were delivered between April 2011 and December 2012.
description
The ships are from a four-stroke - eight-cylinder - diesel engine of the manufacturer Caterpillar : (Type MaK with 2640 8M25C) kW power driven. The motor acts on a controllable pitch propeller via a reduction gear . The ships can thus reach a speed of 12 knots . The ships are equipped with a bow thruster with an output of 170 kW.
A shaft generator with 292 kW output, two diesel generators with 180 kW output each and an emergency generator with 85 kW output are available for power generation.
The ships have a box-shaped hold that is closed with folding hatch covers. The hold is 60 meters long, 11.5 meters wide and 9.4 meters high. When the hatch covers are open, the cargo hold hatch is 56.4 × 11.5 m.
The tank top can be loaded with 14 t / m². The ships are equipped with bulkheads for dividing the hold. The ships can load 178 TEU . There is space for 102 TEU in the hold and 76 TEU on deck.
The deck superstructures are located in the stern area of the ships. The ships are driven by ten crew members who are accommodated in individual cabins. There is space for a total of 13 people on board. Another single cabin and a double cabin are available for this. The ships can stay at sea for around 25 days. The hull of the ships is reinforced with ice (Russian ice class "Ice3").
