The RSD49 project , sometimes referred to as the Neva Leader type, is a type of Russian coaster .

history

The ship type was designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau in Odessa . The ships are designed for sailing on coastal waters and Russian inland waters. Their dimensions correspond to the boundaries of the Volga-Don Canal (Volga-Don-Max). The ship type is based on the ships of the RSD19 project and was in turn further developed as part of the RSD59 project .

Of the type of vessel first eight units were at a later declared option for two additional units of the North-Western Shipping Company in Saint Petersburg in the yard Nevskiy Shipyard in Schlüsselburg been ordered. The construction contract was signed on July 29, 2010. Two further units of the ship type were ordered from the Astrakhan Shipyard “Lotus” in Astrakhan .

Due to capacity bottlenecks, only the shell of the Nevskiy Shipyard of the type ship was built and then towed to the Onega Shipyard in Petrozavodsk for completion .

The ships built at Nevsky Shipyard were initially intended as Neva-Leader 1 to Neva-Leader 10 for the North-Western Shipping Company. The last three units built went to the Kazakh shipping company KTZ Express Shipping (two ships) and the Russian shipping company Pola Rise (one ship). The two ships built at the Astrakhan Shipyard "Lotus" were taken over by the shipping company AnRussTrans. A third ship of this type is also being built for the shipping company AnRussTrans.

description

The drive of the vessels is carried out by two Wärtsilä - diesel engines of type 6L20, each with 1,200  kW power . The motors work via gears on two fixed propellers with Kort nozzles . The ships reach a speed of 11.5  knots . They are equipped with a bow thruster with an output of 200 kW.

Two generators with 292 kW output each, which are driven by two MAN diesel engines with 345 kW output each, and an emergency generator with 90 kW output are available for power generation.

The ships have three box-shaped holds : hold 1 is 26 meters, hold 2 is 52 meters and hold 3 is 27.3 meters long. The rooms are each 12.7 meters wide and 8.37 meters high. The holds are closed with folding hatch covers. The capacity of the holds is 10,920 m³. The tank top can be loaded with 12 t / m². The load capacity of the ships is around 7,150 t with a draft of 4.6 m. For the passage of the Volga-Don Canal, the draft is limited to 3.6 m. The load capacity is then around 4,520 t. The ships can load 289  TEU ; 219 can be found in the holds, 77 on deck.

The flat deckhouse is located in the stern area of the ships. The masts of the ships can be folded down to pass under bridges . There is a free-fall lifeboat behind the deckhouse . The ships are driven by a crew of ten . There is space for a total of 12 people on board. The ships can stay at sea for around 20 days, covering 4,000  nautical miles .

The hull of the ships is reinforced with ice (Russian ice class "Ice2").
