The RSD19 project , also known as the Khazar type, describes a type of coaster .
history
The type of ship was designed by the Marine Engineering Bureau in Odessa . Towing and propulsion tests were carried out at the Krylov Research Center in Saint Petersburg .
From the type of ship four units were at the shipyard Volgograd Shipbuilding Yard in Volgograd for Irinvestship ( Iran ) built. The construction costs amounted to 11 million dollars per ship. The ships are operated by Khazar Sea Shipping Lines in Bandar Anzali .
The ships are designed for sailing on coastal and inland waters. They are primarily used in the Caspian Sea , but also on Russian inland waterways. They are also approved for coastal travel in European coastal waters and the Mediterranean . The ship's dimensions correspond to the boundaries of the Volga-Don Canal (Volga-Don-Max).
The ship type was later developed further to the type RSD49 .
description
The vessels are of two Wärtsilä - diesel engines of type 6L20, each with 1,200 kW power driven via reduction gear on two fixed-pitch propellers with Kort nozzle act. The ships reach a speed of over 10.5 kn . They are equipped with a bow thruster with an output of 200 kW. Three generators, each driven by Volvo Penta diesel engines with an output of 310 kW, and an emergency diesel generator with an output of 133 kW are available to generate electricity .
The ships have four box-shaped cargo holds that are closed with folding hatches. Load space 1 is 16.25 m, load spaces 2 and 3 are 29.9 m and load space 4 is 29.25 m long. The rooms are 12.7 m wide and 8.4 m high. The total capacity of the holds is 10,956 m³. The tank top can be loaded with 8.1 t / m². The ships can load 274 TEU . 204 TEU can be found in the holds and 70 on deck.
The load capacity of the ships is around 7,004 t at a draft of 4.60 m. For the passage of the Volga-Don Canal, the draft is limited to 3.6 m. The load capacity is then just under 4,600 t.
The deck superstructures are located in the stern area of the ships. They are kept relatively flat for the passage of inland waterways. The masts can be folded down to cross under bridges . There is a free-fall lifeboat at the stern of the ships .
The ships are designed for operation with 13 crew members . There is space for 16 people on board.
The ships can stay at sea for around 20 days, covering 4,000 nautical miles .
