history

After most of the farmers of the Wigstadtl estate bought themselves out of the Robot in 1795 and only the Häusler had to afford foot robots, the estate began with the parceling of the manorial Meierhöfe . Mittelhof was the youngest of the three Wigstadtler colonies under Emanuel von Zawisch-Ossenitz and was first mentioned in 1806.

In 1834 the Mittelhof colony consisted of 11 houses in which 52 German-speaking people lived. The main sources of income were agriculture and linen weaving. In the place was the manorial middle courtyard with a sheep farm. The parish and school location was Wigstadtel. Mittelhof remained subject to the Wigstadtel minority until the middle of the 19th century .

After the abolition of patrimonial , the colonies Mittelhof, Scheibenhof and Schneckenhof belonged to the municipality of Oberdorf / Horní Ves in the judicial district of Wigstadtl from 1849 . From 1869 they became part of the Troppau district. At that time the three settlements had 305 inhabitants and consisted of 55 houses. In 1900 there were 348 people living in Mittelhof, Scheibenhof and Schneckenhof, in 1910 there were 326. In 1920 the three colonies were incorporated into Wigstadtl together with Wigstadtl Oberdorf ( Vítkov Horní Ves ). In the 1921 census, 182 Germans lived in the 39 houses in Mittelhof / Dvůr Prostřední . After the Munich Agreement , the village was assigned to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Troppau district until 1945 . After the end of the Second World War, Prostřední Dvůr came back to Czechoslovakia, most of the German-speaking residents were expelled . In 1949 Prostřední Dvůr was assigned to the newly formed Okres Vítkov, which was repealed during the territorial reform of 1960. On July 1, 1975, the districts of Prostřední Dvůr, Nýtek and Veselka were merged into one district of Prostřední Dvůr. In the 2001 census, 82 people lived in the 34 houses in the district.
