Khammuan (also Khammouane , Khammouan , Khammuane or Kammouane ; Laotian ຄໍາ ມ່ວນ , ALA-LC : Kham Mūan ) is a province ( Khwaeng ) in central Laos .

geography

To the north the province borders on the province of Bolikhamsai , in the south on the province of Savannakhet . The western border is formed by the Mekong , on the western bank of which lies the Thai province of Nakhon Phanom . To the east, the Truong Son Mountains separate Khammuan from Vietnam .
