Location and surroundings
Below the summit lie two valleys, the Buczynowa Valley in the east and the Pańszczyca Valley in the west.
The bird is separated from the summit of the Little Beech Valley Tower ( Mała Buczynowa Turnia ) by the Little Beech Valley Gorge ( Wyżnia Przełączka pod Ptakiem ) and from the Kreuzkoppe by the Vogelscharte ( Przełączka pod Ptakiem ).
etymology
The Polish name Ptak means bird and comes from the fact that the shape of the summit is reminiscent of a male genitals, which is colloquially referred to as a bird in Polish .
tourism
Hikers who dare to take the Orla Perć high-altitude trail have to go over the summit.

A high path leads to the summit:
- ▬ The red marked high trail Orla Perć from the Riegelscharte ( Zawrat ) over the summit to the Kreuzsattel . The mountain huts Schronisko PTTK Murowaniec and Schronisko PTTK w Dolinie Pięciu Stawów Polskich are suitable as a starting point for climbing the high trail.
