The Puerto Rican women's volleyball team is a selection of the best Puerto Rican women players who represent the Federación Puertorriqueña de Voleibol at international tournaments and internationals.

history

World Championship

The Puerto Ricans first took part in a volleyball world championship in 1974 and finished in 22nd place. Eight years later they climbed to 17th place. Her best result so far was in 2002 when she was ninth. They reached 15th place at the 2006 World Cup .

Olympic games

Puerto Rico has never qualified for the Olympics.

NORCECA championship

In the first three NORCECA championships , the Puerto Rican women finished fifth, fourth and sixth. In 1977 they again took fifth place. From 1981 to 1999 they were there continuously. At first they rose from sixth to fourth place, but in 1989 they only reached sixth place in their own country. The same result came two years later. The Puerto Ricans were then six times fifth in eight tournaments. In 2001 they were missing and in 2005 they came fourth.

World Grand Prix

At the World Grand Prix , the Puerto Rican women finished tenth in 2009 and eleventh in 2010.
