course

The river has its source just above Zimmerman . The spring does not always have water, so that it usually rises from a small lake below Zimmerman.

Initially, it usually flows in a north-easterly direction, passing through the Quecreek and Acosta . At Coal Junction it takes up the North Branch Quemahoning Creek , which carries water from the Lake Gloria reservoir with it. Shortly afterwards, between Jenner and Boswell , he takes on the water of the reservoir Stoughton Lake . The river now makes an arc to the southeast and is dammed in the Quemahoning Reservoir . It leaves the reservoir in the northeast and flows two more kilometers from the left into the Stonycreek River .
