Röbi Koller

Röbi Koller (* 28. November 1957 in Lucerne ) is a Swiss radio and television presenter , author and journalist .

Life

After studying Phil I at the University of Zurich (German, Romance studies, English studies), he began to present at the pirate station Radio 24 in 1981 . His career took him to Radio DRS 3 in 1988 and at the same time to Swiss television . Koller made the pre-evening magazine Karussell (1988), the long-term reports for the program SF-Spezial (1993-2002) - for example about the Eiger or Zurich Langstrasse - and from 1996 to 2002 the moderation of the program Quer on SF 1 known .

In June 2002 he left television. He wrote for the Swiss observer and until 2009 he had conversations on Radio DRS 1 on the program “ Personal” . He works as a freelance journalist and communications officer. In 2004 he took over the moderation of the “Züri Littéraire” from Peter Zeindler , a discussion event on literature which he programmed and directed until 2017 together with Mona Vetsch .

Since 2005 Röbi Koller has been the ambassador for the aid organization Comundo , which runs development cooperation projects primarily in Africa and South America. In this honorary position, he regularly visits their projects and reports on them in various media.

In 2007 he returned to Swiss television and hosted the programs “To be continued” and “ Club ”. In his Saturday evening show "Happy Day", heart's desires are fulfilled and viewers surprised. In addition, Koller has been part of the team of moderators for the legendary radio talk show " Music for a Guest " on Radio SRF 2 since 2016 .

His collected cooking encounters with prominent contemporaries for the observer were published in book form in 2007. In the same year his portrait of the Bernese mountaineer Stephan Siegrist "Balance between the mountain and everyday life" was published. In 2011 his book "Dr. Nils Jent - A Life at the Limit" was published. In 2017, Koller published his autobiographical notes "Detours - From heights, side trips and dead ends".

Since 2014 Röbi Koller has been on the board of the "Zuger Translators" association, which awards the Zug translator scholarship every two years .

Röbi Koller lives with his wife in Zurich. He has two daughters from his first marriage.
