  • About 15.9% of the Scottish population (2011 Census) profess the Roman Catholic Church in Scotland , only the Church of Scotland has a larger number of members. A Catholic "stronghold" in Scotland is the city of Glasgow . In the 2001 census, 29% of Glasgow residents said they were Catholic.

    The Bishops 'Conference of Scotland ( English : Bishops' Conference of Scotland ) is the permanent assembly of the Roman Catholic Bishops of Scotland. It consists of a secretariat and several committees to handle all work.

    Diocesan organization

    The two ecclesiastical provinces are divided into two archdioceses and six suffragan dioceses . There are also two jurisdictions , which include Scotland, England and Wales , the Military Ordinary and
    the Personnel Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham .
