Rüdiger Dorn (* 1969 in Osnabrück ) is a German game designer . The qualified commercial teacher works in Gunzenhausen, is married, has three children and lives in Pfofeld near Nuremberg.

His first publication was the game Cameo in 1992 by the publisher HABA . His first award-winning game was the game The Dealers of Genoa in 2001 , which was published by alea / Ravensburger . It took 3rd place at the German Game Prize and came to the selection list for Game of the Year . In 2005 his game Louis XIV won first place in the German Games Prize and Jambo won first place in the à la carte card game prize .

In 2016 the game Karuba was released , which was nominated for Game of the Year (Critics' Prize).
