National team

In the run-up to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, due to the alleged Mexican origin of his mother, the appointment to the Mexican national team was up for discussion. However, Bobadilla made it clear that his mother was Argentinian. In April 2013, the Paraguayan media reported that one of the goals of a trip to Europe of the then Paraguayan national coach Gerardo Pelusso , accompanied by association management member Jorge Cáceres, was to contact Bobadilla in order to explore the possibility of the player's possible national team appearance for Paraguay. This therefore has Paraguayan ancestors. According to other press reports, it was his grandmother. In March 2015 he was appointed to the national team of Paraguay for the first time by national coach Ramón Díaz for the international matches against Costa Rica and Mexico, which were scheduled at the end of March 2015. He then celebrated his debut for the " Albirroja " on March 26, 2015 in the game against Costa Rica. On May 11, 2015 he was appointed by national coach Díaz to the provisional, 30-player squad for the 2015 Copa America .
