Raban Felix Graf Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden (born November 12, 1877 in Hohenstadt ; † June 4, 1935 in Cologne ) was a German ministerial official and diplomat .
biography
Raban, from the Swabian noble family Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden , was the son of Heinrich Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden and the younger brother of Sigmund Maria Graf Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden . He studied after school law at the University of Leipzig and was after his promotion in 1899 to Dr. iur. Appointed court assessor in 1904 . 1908 he became a Councilor in the Upper Rhine Province Bureau to Koblenz and worked there until the 1919th
In 1919 he was appointed lecturing council in the Reich Ministry of the Interior and took part in this function in 1919 at the Versailles peace negotiations and at the 1924 London conference to negotiate the Dawes Plan . Most recently he was Ministerialrat in the Reich Ministry of the Interior. From 1925 to 1930 he was Ministerialrat in the Reich Ministry for the Occupied Territories and as such Deputy Reich Commissioner for the Occupied Rhenish Territories .
In 1930 he switched to the diplomatic service and became consul general in Katowice in 1931 after training in the Foreign Office . He was then appointed envoy in Belgium in 1934 as the successor to Hugo Graf von und zu Lerchenfeld on Köfering and Schönberg and held this office until his death the following year. Her successor as envoy in Brussels was then Herbert von Richthofen .
Raban Adelmann von Adelmannsfelden married Herta Freiin von Guilleaume (October 1, 1893 - December 7, 1915), a granddaughter of Franz Carl Guilleaume , on May 12, 1915 at Gudenau Castle . The short marriage remained childless, but after the death of his brother Sigmund in 1926 he adopted his 14-year-old son Raban , who inherited the Graf Adelmann winery at Schaubeck Castle from him in 1935 .
