The Rabenkuppe in the Werra-Meißner district in Northern Hesse is 514.8  m above sea level. NHN the highest mountain on the Ringgau plateau .

Geographical location

The Rabenkuppe is located in the northern part of the Ringgau between the villages of Weißenborn in the northeast and Netra in the south, and the district town of Eschwege is about 8 km (as the crow flies ) to the northwest. The small Werra tributary of Weißenborner Bach rises to the west of the mountain .

nature

The Rabenkuppe is the westernmost and highest point of the Graburg mountain plateau , the eastern end is the Schäfersburg (approx.  480  m height). To the north, the Ringgau falls with a steep edge to the Schlierbachswald .

Numerous hiking trails lead across the mountain area, including to the Erika hut and various viewpoints.
