Radiation (for engl. " Radiation ") is the tenth album of the British progressive rock band Marillion . To visualize this anniversary, the letters “io” in Marillion and Radiation were set off in color on the cover. The CD was released in September 1998.

background

After Steve Hogarth joined Marillion, it took a while before an independent style was found again; see Hogarth era . With Radiation , Marillion radically changed his sound compared to the previous albums. Particularly noteworthy is the changed guitar playing by Steve Rothery, which no longer dominates the sound of the band. In March 2013, a remastered and remixed new release was released under the title Radiation 2013 , which was largely rated by fans and critics as adding value. This version of the album is slightly shorter than the original version due to the lack of passages that are perceived as inappropriate.
