RadioLiveTheater

The RadioLiveTheater (also: hr2 -RadioLiveTheater) is a German theater ensemble that performs live radio plays and reading productions with speakers, costumes and music in front of an audience. The specialty are the action and movement noises generated live on the stage as well as sounds by noisemakers .

history

The RadioLiveTheater was founded in 2012 in cooperation with the Hessischer Rundfunk by a team of actors, authors and radio drama speakers in Frankfurt am Main . Initially in cooperation with the radio program hr3 , since 2016 with the radio program hr2-kultur . Around 20 times a year, both radio plays and crime novels (e.g. Sherlock Holmes based on Arthur Conan Doyle or The Witcher Returns to Edgar Wallace ), as well as newly written in-house productions of the Western genres (e.g. Old Shatterhand among coyotes ) or realized comedy.

After the Corona shutdown in spring 2020, the RadioLiveTheater was the first theater ensemble in Germany to resume its performance. Old Shatterhand among coyotes in the Wiesbaden State Theater is considered the first ensemble play in Germany to be performed after the corona shutdown.

The founder of the RadioLiveTheater is the actor and radio play speaker Klaus Krückemeyer , who together with the Wiesbaden actor Wolfgang Vater is the author and director of the productions. The ensemble is made up of changing speakers; prominent actors, moderators and voice actors (including Andrea Ballschuh , Jasna Fritzi Bauer , Daniel Boschmann , Jan Sosniok , Chris Pichler ) regularly have guest appearances or can be heard via feed (including Jörg Bombach , Bärbel Schäfer , Oliver Rohrbeck ).

Productions

Since 2013, the RadioLiveTheater has been staging its own live radio play productions and adaptations of well-known crime novels and westerns , as well as comedy, e.g. B .:

• Sherlock and the Dog from Dartmoor (after Arthur Conan Doyle )
• The Witcher Returns (after Edgar Wallace )
• Old Shatterhand among coyotes ( Klaus Krückemeyer and Wolfgang Vater freely based on motifs by Karl May with permission from Karl May Verlag )
• Old Firehand ( Dirk Hardegen after Karl May with permission from Karl May Verlag )
• Nicci & Vicci and the Carpathian calf ( Klaus Krückemeyer , presented by radio play producer Heikedine Körting ). This production was re-staged on September 7, 2019 for the radio play fair "Hörmich" (with Kerstin Draeger , Hans-Georg Panczak and Santiago Ziesmer, among others ). In 2020 it was produced as a radio play for Hessischer Rundfunk and broadcast on hr1 and hr2-kultur at the end of March , including a. with Dirk Hardegen , Katy Karrenbauer , Sonya Kraus , Gordon Piedesack and Santiago Ziesmer.
