Radivoje Ristanović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Радивоје Ристановић ; born December 2, 1982 in Belgrade , SR Serbia , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Serbian , now Montenegrin handball player .

Career

The 2.00 m tall and 110 kg heavy handball goalkeeper played in his hometown for RK Partizan Belgrade , with whom he became Yugoslavian in 2002 and Serbian-Montenegrin champion in 2003. Internationally, he reached the semi-finals in the 2001/02 European Cup Winners' Cup and the third round in the 2002/03 EHF Cup . In 2003 he moved to RK Vojvodina , with whom he won the championship and cup in 2005. In September 2005 he went to RK Lovćen Cetinje , with whom he won the first edition of the Montenegrin Championship and the Cup in 2007 and reached the quarter-finals in the EHF Challenge Cup 2006/07. He then ventured into the Spanish league ASOBAL to SD Teucro . In 2009 he was to replace the Croatian goalkeeper Mirko Alilović at Ademar León and signed a four-year contract. After the Croatian stayed in León, he was loaned to SDC San Antonio , with whom he reached the semi-finals in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 EHF European Cup Winners' Cup . In the 2012/13 season Ristanović played in Qatar at al-Ahli SC . He then returned to Belgrade. For the 2014/15 season he moved to HBW Balingen-Weilstetten , which he left in January 2016 as a result of an overstaffing in his position in the direction of Chambery.

Radivoje Ristanović took part with the Yugoslav national youth team in a youth world championship as well as with the Yugoslav junior selection in the European junior championship in 2002, where he won bronze. Ristanović was in the squad for the Serbian national team . For the 2011 World Cup he was part of the extended line-up, but was ultimately not considered for the tournament.

In 2015 he moved to Montenegro and participated with the national team in the 2016 European handball championship in Poland .
