Raigarh is a city (since 2001 Municipal Corporation ) in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh with about 137,000 inhabitants (2011 census).

It is the seat of the administration of the district of the same name . The city is located on the Kelo River on the Bilaspur - Rourkela railway line .

Raigarh was the capital of the princely state of the same name . In January 2015, the transsexual ( hijra ) Madhu Kinnar was elected mayor of the city.
