Rainer Bähr

Rainer M. Bähr (born June 20, 1958 in Weinsberg , Heilbronn district ) is a German lawyer and insolvency administrator .

Life

A bank clerk with after high school graduated Baehr Kreissparkasse Heilbronn , thereafter at the Ruprecht-Karls-University of Heidelberg Law and at the University of Hagen Economics study. In 1988 he was admitted to the bar . Since then he has to the activities of insolvency administration specialized and restructuring and was in about 3000 Method for bankruptcy, Gesamtvollstreckungs- and insolvency / -gutachter or trustee appointed (ESUG). Bähr was a founding partner of the law firm Hermann & Bähr, Rechtsanwälte und Steuerberater , now HERMANN Rechtsanwälte Wirtschaftsprüfer Steuerberater , which today has 14 locations and six branches in Germany .

Bähr worked as a lecturer at the Law Faculty of the University of Leipzig and from 2007 until today at the Law Faculty of the Leibniz University of Hanover . On behalf of GTZ , he conducted training courses for insolvency administrators in Russia (2004) and Serbia (2005). For the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia he played a key role in drafting an insolvency law, also on behalf of GTZ. In 2002 he was called in as an expert by the Federal-State Commission for the Reform of the Insolvency Code, and from 1991 to 2000 he was an auditor for the Saxony Bar Association . Since 1999 he has been a member of the executive committee of the Insolvency Law and Restructuring Working Group in the German Lawyers' Association , which annually organizes the largest insolvency law event.

Bähr is a member of the professional associations

Bähr moved to Leipzig in 1991 , is divorced, has three children and lives in the Dübener Heide in Saxony-Anhalt .

Awards and honors

Rainer Bähr has been recognized for his work from various quarters. Including from Legal 500 and Best Lawyers .

Together with Christian Berger from the Institute for Legal Law at the University of Leipzig , he founded the Leipzig Insolvency Law Day (LIT). In particular for his initiation and promotion of this project as well as in recognition of his services to the maintenance of insolvency law (Germany) at the Faculty of Law, he was awarded the honorary degree and dignity of Doctor of Law from the Faculty of Law at the University of Leipzig on December 17, 2013 awarded, This award has been presented for the ninth time since the faculty was founded, for the first time to an attorney who is still active.
