Rake is an American television series that premiered on January 23, 2014 on FOX . The series consists of 13 episodes in one season, because the broadcasting station refrained from a sequel due to low ratings and moved the series to a worse slot below its broadcast. The German first broadcast took place on July 2, 2014 on the German branch of the Universal Channel .

The series centers on the complicated life of defense attorney Keegan Deane, who suffers from extremely self-destructive tendencies: he drinks, sleeps with prostitutes, suffers from gambling addiction and behaves improperly in court. This behavior is repeatedly fatal when dealing with his ex-wife, his son, clients and judges.

Episode list
The broadcast order of the episodes differs in Germany insofar that the 13th and last episode Bosenfreund / Mammophile was shown in the USA and the 6th episode on the Universal Channel , as was originally intended during production. As part of the early cancellation on US television, this order was changed there. Also, the early episodes were not shown in production order, as the actual pilot episode, episode 2, according to producer Peter Tolan "an overload of not drama .... but maybe too much sadness" ("an overload of not drama .. . but maybe a little sadness ").
