Damon Gupton

Damon Jamal Gupton (born January 4, 1973 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American actor and conductor . As an actor, he was one of the main cast of the series Deadline , Prime Suspect , The Devide and The Player . He was also seen as a recurring actor in the series Rake and Empire . He also has the role of Gregg Edwards from season 4 of the series Bates Motel .

Life

Gupton studied at the University of Michigan , where he directed a music ensemble and completed a degree in musical education. He also graduated from the Juilliard School . He had his first acting role in the movie Unfaithful in 2002, while in his conducting career he served with the Houston Symphony in 2004 and the Kansas City Symphony in 2006. In the acting field, he was part of the ensemble cast in several series. In 2015 he was cast for the role of Cal Brown in the series The Player . and played the role of Mr. Kramer in the 2014 movie Whiplash .

In December 2016 he took on the role of agent Stephen Walker in the US series Criminal Minds , in which he was not taken over for season 13 in June 2017 as part of a creative realignment. Gupton only worked on 15 episodes.
