history

Alexander Nauels, Christian Behr and Jan Günther founded the band in Berlin in 2006. The band members refer to themselves as the engine throughout . In their early years the band recorded some demo songs, released a self-distributed EP and in 2008 the first single Wo geht's ins All about Universal Music . In the course of time the band members changed before the current formation came together around 2013 under the slightly changed name "Rakede". The "die" was sacrificed to the new spirit.

In the same year the EP Ja ... but what if everything works out with features from Samy Deluxe and Dellé ( Seeed ) on Downbeat Records , a sub-label of Warner Music, which also houses Seeed and the Beatsteaks . On November 21, 2014, the debut album Rakede was released .

Her unplugged video for the title Please, Please became a viral YouTube hit in 2013 .

The music genre is a mixture of pop , reggae , hip-hop and electronic music.

The band has performed at various festivals since 2010, including the Mini-Rock-Festival and MS Dockville (as Die Rakede ) as well as Nova Rock Festival (AT), Summerjam , Urban Art Forms Festival (AT) and Die Neuen DeutschPoeten (as Rakede ) .

The band broke up on June 20, 2020.
